March 30th, 1999 -- This afternoon Alberta pushed herself lower in the box than we had ever seen. She remained in the position shown in the photo for well over an hour, with her eyes closed most of the time. Both before and after she scraped in the gravel of the box. Is this behaviour an indication that the first egg is imminent?
