Dear Canadian Peregrine Foundation:

Thank you for the wonderful, insightful, presentation on peregrine falcons. Your presentation helped us learned more about our science curriculum.

Some of the Gr. 6 expectations that your presentation covered were:

- to identify and describe the characteristics of vertebrates, such as mammals, birds, amphibians, reptitles, and fish.
- to use appropriate vocabulary, including correct scientific terminology, in describing their investigations and observations.
- to identify inherited characteristics and learned or behavioural characteristics.
- and to describe specific characteristics or adaptations that enable each group of vertebrates to live in it's particular habitat, and to explain the importance of maintaining that habitat for the survival of the species.

The only thing I didn't like is that you wasted too much time mentioning peregrine falcon scat. Other than that your presentation was great. I thank the Canadian Peregrine Foundation for the presentation. I also thank the TD Canada Trust-Friends of the Environment for funding this much-needed foundation. Thank you, once again, from the bottom of my heart, for the presentation and thanks for helping to save the peregrine falcons.

Sincerely,

Diana Wong

Last week Maya Basdeo came to our school and made an excellent presentation on the Canadian Peregrine Falcon. My grade 3/4 class really enjoyed learning about this bird. The grade four students were able to answer a lot of Maya's questions because we just studied a unit on Habitat where we looked at food chains.

We would like to thank Maya, the Canadian Peregrine Foundation and TD Canada Trust - Friends of the Environment for bringing this presentation to Teeterville Public School. My class is still talking about the peregrine falcon's habitat, eating habits and astonishing speed. Everyone was eager to complete the follo up assignment which I have enclosed in the envelope. We will be watching your website closely to see if any of your pictures make it on the website.

Thank you,

Ms. McEachern and grade 3/4 class
