Project School Visit:
W.R. Best Memorial Public School

Visit sponsored by: The Friends of the Environment Foundation - Barrie

On October the 12th, 2004, we visited Shanty Bay's W.R. Best Memorial Public School. Below is a picture from one of the students and a letter from the school.

Thank you for visiting our school. Our students and myself enjoyed the presentation and found it very worthwhile. Here are my thoughts.

First of all you are a Canadian company doing something for Canada. Bravo! Thanks to our Canadian TD Canada Trust - Friends of the Environment, this presentation did not cost our students any money. The presenter engaged the audience by
a)using a quiet voice
b)waiting until students were listening
c)asked a question that would be answered if you listened to the video
d)included facts sparingly
e)offered a recognition for work well done (drawing a picture that could be posted on the web site)

We would be happy to have another presentation that would be a follow- up to explain how the peregrine falcons are doing now that we have learned how to safely prepare and environment for them.
Yours truly

Hazel Drury
