Project School Visit:
Paris Central School

Visit sponsored by: The Friends of the Environment Foundation

On December the 14th, 2004, we visited Paris' Paris Central School. Below is a letter from the school.

We were very excited to have Sanchos (the Perigrine Falcon) visit our school. It was a privilege to see one of the few perigrines in Canada.

Michael gave a very informative presentation. We learned how fast this raptor can dive. We enjoyed having a real bird right in front of us. It was amazing the way Michael had trained Sanchos to interact with the audience.

Although we have not studied the habitat unit yet, there will be many connections. We will be studying about adaptations and endangered animals. It was sad, but educational to see a living example of this.

Please thank the TD Canada trust-friends of the Environment for providing the funds for this special presentation.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Taylor and the Grade 4 Class
