Project School Visit:
Ross R. MacKay Public School

Visit sponsored by: The EJLB Foundation

On January the 26th, 2005, we visited Hillsburgh's Ross R. MacKay Public School. Below is a letter from the school.

We would like to thank the EJLB Foundation for being the sponsor for the presentation at Ross R. MacKay school from the Canadian Peregrine Foundation. Through their generous financial support our students were able to enjoy the visit.

The presentation was excellent! It appealed to both the Primary and Junior divisions with age and grade appropriate science curricula. The use of interactive role play, video presentation and a "real live" falcon made this a wonderful experience for our students. The students were interested in the adaptations these bIrds have made to urban areas, their life systems and habitat.

The students took a lot of information away with them and it is hoped the environment will be safer from the use of DDT now that they know the effects chemicals have on our planet.

Thank you for a most enjoyable day!

Sincerely,

M. Zuk,
Principal
