Project School Visit:
Walpole North (Hagersville)

Visit sponsored by: Ontario Power Generation

On March 7, 2003 we visited Walpole North with one of our peregrine falcons.  Below is a letter we received from the school.

I would like to thank you for having a representative of the Canadian Peregrine Foundation visit our school. I would also like to thank Ontario Power for their donation which made the visit possible.

All students were enthralled for the entire presentation and for the Friday afternoon before the March Break, that is no small feat!  The connections to habitats, food chains and endangered species all related very well to the curriculum of the grade 4 and grade 6 classes.  Also, since our school is a "Green" school, concerned about the environment, there was an added bonus from the presentation.

Thank you again for making the visit possible and please pass on our thanks to Ontario Power as well,

Sincerely,

Cheryl Black, Principal
