Project School Visit:
Byron Northview Public School (London)

Visit sponsored by: TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In September 2001, we visited London's Byron Northview Public School with our male peregrine falcon "Oscar".  Below are a couple of drawings from the grade 6 students and a letter from the principal:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support of the Canadian Peregrine Foundation.  On Friday, September 21st Tracy Simpson and "Ozzie" visited our school to provide information to us about peregrine falcons.  The presentation was excellent!  Tracy was great with our students and held their attention for the entire time.  She was also very knowledgeable about the topic and I personally, learned much about peregrines.  The students responded enthusiastically and were a captive audience who participated by asking questions and answering questions. We would love to have the Canadian Peregrine Foundation back again in the future and I would highly recommend their presentation to other schools and associations.  In order to preserve our society we must protect and save the environment.  This presentation made staff and students more aware of this delicate balance and role we play in preserving it.

Sincerely,

Starlot Carew
Principal
