Project School Visit:
Central Public School (Burlington)

Visits sponsored by:  TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In June 2002, we returned to Burlington's Central Public School with our female peregrine falcon, "Ariel".  Below is a letter from the principal:

On behalf of our Grade 4, 5 and 6 students at Central P.S., thank you so much for arranging for our students to partake in the Canadian Peregrine Foundation presentation.  Maya has an excellent manner with the students and of course, with the falcon, and the students learned so much and were tremendously excited about learning more!

We're looking forward to using the video and student booklets in the fall, as a follow-up.  Thanks again, and please keep me in mind for anything similar that happens to come up.

Sincerely,

Susan Eaton-Davis
Principal

In December 1999, we visited Burlington's Central Public School with our 9-year-old female peregrine, "Qetesh".  Below is a short letter from the vice-principal:

The staff and 200 junior students thoroughly enjoyed the presentation on the peregrine falcon.  The information about the falcon and the movement to preserve it was very interesting to all.   The students were enthralled by seeing the bird.  They loved its beautiful colouring and sat quietly to enjoy having the bird fly around.

Thanks for this opportunity,

Lynne Anderson, Vice-Principal
