Project School Visit:
Duncan McArthur Public School (Kingston)

Visit sponsored by: TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In October 2001, we visited Kingston's Duncan McArthur School with our female peregrine falcon "Penny".  Below is a letter from the school following our visit:

I wish to thank the Canadian Peregrine Foundation for bringing an exciting and real learning opportunity to our students.  Seeing a peregrine falcon up close is a rare opportunity and brings the plight of this endangered species into a real life experience for the students.  We truly appreciated the presentation our junior division enjoyed this week and hope you continue in pursuing this valuable cause.  We would love to know if Penny is successful in producing offspring in the spring.

Please accept the donation enclosed as a small gesture of our appreciation and we hope that our contribution enables other students to enjoy this unique experience.

Your sincerely,

Susanne E. Ellis
