Project School Visit:
Dr. J. Edgar Davey Elementary School (Hamilton)

Visit sponsored by:  TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In April 2001 we visited Hamilton's Dr. J. Edgar Davey Elementary School with our adult female peregrine falcon "Qetesh".   Below is a letter from the school, followed by drawings from two of the students:

At the end of April, Mark visited our school with his special Peregrine Falcon friend.  The students and staff were enthralled!  Mark kept the children's interest through questions, participation, and humour.  The presentation was most informative and tied in with what the students had or were studying - a medieval unit, food chains, habitats, and flight.

As this is such a worthwhile presentation, it is hoped that this special programme will continue to be made to elementary schools in the future.

Thank you to TD Friends of the Environment Foundation for giving our students the opportunity to experience this terrific presentation. It was very much enjoyed and appreciated by all the students and staff.

Sincerely,

Marg Webert
