Project School Visit:
Gladys Speers Public School (Oakville)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In March 2001, we visited Oakville's Gladys Speers Public School with our ten-year-old female peregrine falcon "Qetesh".  Below are some comments from the school:

The staff and students at Gladys Speers School would like to thank you and Canada Trust Friends of the Environment Foundation for allowing us the Peregrine Foundation school visit Friday March 9.

The students in grades 4, 5, and 6 learned a lot by listening to what Kelly had to tell them.  Staff felt the information shared was age, grade, and curriculum appropriate.  They also felt that Kelly showed proper respect for the bird and not only handled it well, but conveyed the importance of its care to our students.

Thank you once more for a wonderful visit.

Sincerely,

Nancy Dickson
Principal
