Project School Visit:
Howick Central Public School (Fordwich)

Visit sponsored by:  TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In June 2001 we visited Howick Central Public School in Fordwich with our adult female peregrine falcon "Qetesh".   Below is a letter from the school:

On behalf of the staff of Howick Central Public School, I would like to thank you for providing such a wonderful presentation about the peregrine falcon on June 4, 2001.  As a presentation, it fit well with the curriculum and was obviously enjoyed by the students.  The presentation was handled skilfully and maintained the interest of the students while teaching them valuable information about environmental issues.

I would also like to commend you on the Peregrine Falcon Unit that was made available to the school by the Canadian Peregrine Foundation.  It is full of excellent information and activities to be used in the classroom.

This program is certainly one that is worthwhile bringing into the schools.  Thank you.

Sincerely,

Sheree Fleischauer
Principal
