Project School Visit:
Irwin Memorial Public School (Dwight)

Visit sponsored by: Georgian Bay Osprey Society

In October 2001 we visited Dwight's Irwin Memorial School with our young red-tailed hawk "Eric".  Below is a letter from the school:

On behalf of the staff and students of Irwin Memorial Public School I would like to thank you for the wonderful presentation made by the two young people from the Canadian Peregrine Foundation to our students.  Along with many interesting artifacts and educational materials they also brought with them a real live red-tailed hawk.

The children were fascinated with the presentation and totally engaged for the entire time they were there.  The presenters were extremely knowledgeable, professional, and enthusiastic about the topic and left many valuable resources for our teachers to use with their classes.

Thank you very much for contacting us regarding this opportunity and also please extend our thanks to the Trillium Foundation for making this possible for Ontario schools.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Kevin H. Cutler
Principal
