Project School Visit:
Joseph Gibbons Public School (Georgetown)

Visit sponsored by:  TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In May 2002, we visited Georgetown's Joseph Gibbons Public School with our female peregrine falcon, "Ariel".  Below is a letter from the vice-principal:

The Grade 3, 4 and 5 students of Joseph Gibbons thoroughly enjoyed the presentation by the Canadian Peregrine Foundation.  The students found the information interesting, particularly the negative effects of DDT on the falcons and the way the falcons catch their prey.  The highlight for students, of course, was seeing Ariel, the peregrine falcon, up close and personal.

It was an enjoyable and educational experience for all and we would like to thank the Canadian Peregrine Foundation and the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation for sponsoring the event.

Sincerely,

Lynne Anderson
Vice-Principal
