Project School Visit:
Lackner Woods Public School (Kitchener)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In November 2002, we visited Lackner Woods Public School in Kitchener with one of our peregrine falcons.  Below are some comments from the principal:

I am the principal of Lackner Woods P.S. in Kitchener.  On Tuesday Nov 12th we were fortunate to have a “project school visit”.  Maya was the presenter.  We had two separate presentations for our Grade 3 – 6 students.

Maya did a superb job.  She made a direct connection with the students.  Maya used humour effectively and was able to capture their interest and attention.  Her voice is very clear and she has good pedagogical practices.

We are very grateful to the TD Canada Trust – Friends of the Environment program for giving us this wonderful program which has a direct link to the curriculum and is of real interest to our students.

 Mr. D. Koebel, Principal
