Project School Visit:
Lancaster Drive Public School (Kingston)

Visit sponsored by: TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In October 2001, we visited Kingston's Lancaster Drive Public School with our female peregrine falcon "Penny".  We have not received any feedback from the students yet, but below is a letter from the principal:

A note of thanks to you and the sponsor for arranging the Peregrine falcon presentation at Lancaster Drive P.S., Limestone District School Board. We held two presentations: one for our Gr. 4 students and one for Gr. 6.

The presentation was well-suited to the Science curriculum topics for these grade levels.  The students were enthralled with the presentation and certainly asked relevant questions to the presenter.

We greatly appreciated the funding available to bring such a relevant presentation to our school.  It brings the science curriculum "alive" for our students!

Thanks is also extended to the presenter, "David" who did an excellent job in keeping the children's attention.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Hollee Dine
Principal
