Project School Visit:
Sir Wilfrid Laurier School (Hamilton)

Visit sponsored by:  TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In October 2001 we visited Hamilton's Sir Wilfrid Laurier School with our young male peregrine falcon "Oscar".   Below is a letter from the school:

The staff and students of Sir Wilfrid Laurier School would like to thank the Canadian Peregrine Foundation for presenting three excellent workshops at our school.  All of our grade four and five students as well as our junior special education class attended one of the three workshops.  The students learned about the peregrine as and endangered species as well as about food chains and event he importance of the peregrine throughout history.  Tracy Simpson was a wonderful presenter and Oscar was amazing.  The booklets and video that we received will allow us to extend our learning.

We would especially like to thank TD Canada Trust Friends of the Environment Foundation for sponsoring ten schools in Hamilton benefit from this outstanding presentation.  It is very encouraging when the community is involved in the education of our children.

Yours truly,

Wenda Tulloch
