Project School Visit:
Mary Hopkins School (Waterdown)

Visit sponsored by: Enbridge Pipelines

In June 2000, we visited Waterdown's Mary Hopkins School with our 1-year-old male peregrine falcon "Scotty".  We haven't received any feedback from the students, but here is a letter from the school:

On behalf of the students of Mary Hopkins School, I would like to thank you and Enbridge Pipelines for supporting the Peregrine Falcon Presentation.

Mark Nash from the Canadian Peregrine Foundation presented information to all our grade four through seven classes; that's almost 300 kids.  His presentation was well prepared, informative, and interesting.  He related very well with the kids and changed his style to meet the needs of a particular age group.  The kids were very excited to see a peregrine falcon up close!

Mr. Nash also provided the school with an excellent follow-up package and student guide.  In the future we would welcome Mr. Nash to our school again.

Sincerely,

Ms. C. Soldat (teacher) & Mary Johnson (principal)
