Project School Visit:
Mountain View School (Stoney Creek)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In January 2001, we visited Stoney Creek's Mountain View Public School with our two-year-old male peregrine falcon "Scotty".  Below are some comments from the school:

Mountain View School, Home of the Falcons, would like to extend a sincere thank you to those who made the Peregrine presentation available to our Grade 4 - 7 students.

Our Gr. 4-7 students were delighted.  The presenters did an excellent job and our teachers were really pleased with the curriculum connections.  The presentation introduced our younger students and reinforced curriculum that has been already taught to our older students.  The video and materials that you kindly donated to our school library are wonderful additions to our resource materials.  Additionally I have had parents who were surprised and pleased with the information that their children shared at home after the visit.

Thank you again for considering our school for one of your visits.  We were very pleased and would highly recommend it to other jurisdictions.  Thanks also to the Friends of the Environment Foundation, Toronto Dominion Bank for their support.

Sincerely,

J. Blimkie
Principal
