Project School Visit:
Parnall Public School (St. Catharines)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In January 2001, we visited Parnall Public School in St. Catharines with our ten-year-old female peregrine falcon "Qetesh".  Below are some comments from the school:

On behalf of the staff and students of Parnall Public School, I would like to thank the Canadian Peregrine Foundation for an excellent presentation.

Mark Nash gave an informative talk on the falcon and the environmental dangers that threaten its survival.  The children were thrilled to see a real peregrine falcon!  This authentic experience certainly enriched their study of Habitats and Communities and gave us all a powerful lesson on endangered species.  The instructional materials and video will be great resources for future study.

Thank you again for such a wonderful learning opportunity.

Sincerely,

Lynda Johnton
Principal
