Project School Visit:
Pinegrove Public School (St. Catharines)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In February 2001, we visited Pinegrove Public School in St. Catharines with our two-year-old male peregrine falcon "Scotty".  Below are two of the best drawings submitted to us by students in the classes we visited, followed by some comments from the principal.

This letter is to say thank you to David Pfeffer and to Canada Trust for sponsoring this great program!  David's presentation was OUTSTANDING!  He could easily be an excellent classroom teacher as he presented a wonderful lesson on endangered birds especially the peregrine falcon.  Having "Scotty" there was terrific as well.  The boys and girls of our school learned many new and interesting things.

As for Canada Trust, again, thanks a million for your sponsorship.  This program which brings live animals into the classroom and teaches about the wonder of Nature and frailty of the balance in Nature is excellent.  Your commitment to education and to our environment is very evident and much appreciated.

Sincerely,

T.R. Quarantillo
Principal
