Project School Visit:
Pius XII School (Sudbury)

Visit sponsored by:  TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In February 2002, we visited Sudbury's Pius XII School with our female peregrine falcon "Qetesh".  Below is a letter from the principal:

This letter is to thank you and the Canadian Peregrine Foundation for an excellent, informative presentation made to four classes of Grade 4, 5, and 6 students.  The children loved it so much and we particularly commend Mark Nash for making the presentation so meaningful to the children.

I also would like to thank the TD Canada Trust Friends of the Environment Foundation for funding this.  I'm sure the cost would be fairly high but it was well worth it because the children have learned so much about extinct species, food chains, etc.

Needless to say, the actual peregrine falcon captivated their attention and made the lesson so much more meaningful.  It's not every day that we get to see a live falcon so this will stay in their minds forever.

Sincerely,

Mr. C. Patterson
Principal
