Project School Visit:
Howard Robertson Public School (Kitchener)

Visits sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In November 2001, we visited Kitchener's Howard Robertson Public School for a second time.  On this occasion we were accompanied by our adult female peregrine falcon "Qetesh".  Below are a couple of drawings submitted by the students following our visit:

In February 2000, we visited Kitchener's Howard Robertson School with our one-year-old male peregrine falcon "Scotty".  Below are some comments from the principal:

I want to thank the Peregrine Foundation and Friends of the Environment for their excellent presentation to our students this month.

I sat in on one of the presentations, and was most impressed by the young man who was responsible for sharing his love and knowledge of this beautiful bird.  I am sure it enhanced the learning for the children and made them a little more sensitive to the need to care more for our birds and animals.

Your group and Friends of the Environment are to commended for your excellent work.

On behalf of my staff I thank you for considering us as one of the schools to receive the video, student guides, and live presentation.

Sincerely,

David G. Smith, Principal
