Project School Visit:
Sherwood Heights Elementary School (Hamilton)

Visit sponsored by:  TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In May 2002, we visited Hamilton's Oakwood Public School with our male peregrine falcon "Oscar".  Below is a letter from the school:

Last week our school was very privileged to have one of your representatives present a workshop to our grade 4 and 5 students about the Peregrine Falcons and what your foundation does.

The students and staff thought the presentation was very interesting and informative.  It tied in very well with our science curriculum and with the Medieval social studies unit.

Your presenter was very animated and obviously knew how to keep the students spellbound.  Oscar the falcon was a huge hit!

The staff and students of Sherwood Heights highly recommend this presentation for other schools and hope you will return to our school in the near future.

A big thank you to the TD Friends of the Environment Foundation for sponsoring all the good work your foundation does, both in educating future generations and protecting these majestic birds.

Yours truly,

Theresa Cardey
on behalf of staff and students
