Project School Visit:
St. Benedict Catholic School (Etobicoke)

Visit sponsored by: The New Ontario Trillium Foundation

In early 1999, we visited St. Benedict School with a live female peregrine falcon named "Autumn".  We haven't yet received any feedback from the students, but here is a letter from one of the teachers:

On behalf of the intermediate students and teachers of St. Benedict Catholic School I would like to thank your organization for an enjoyable and educational presentation.

The teachers found the content of the presentation both grade suitable and curriculum appropriate.  The presenters were very professional and captured the students' interest and attention throughout the visit as was evident through the interactive question and answer period.   We highly recommend the CPF School Visit Program to other teachers and schools, as it is a program that would facilitate the delivery of part of the new Ontario Science Curriculum in a manner that students would welcome.

We are very appreciative of the Student Books and Video, as we find them helpful in delivering curriculum material in an informative and enjoyable manner to the students and we will be using them for the foreseeable future.

Thank you for your interest in making a difference in the education of our children.

Yours truly,

Domenic Petrucci, Teacher / Intermediate Division Chair
