Project School Visit:
Stinson Street School (Hamilton)

Visit sponsored by: Friends of the Environment Foundation

In February 2001, we visited Stinson Street School in Hamilton with our two-year-old male peregrine falcon "Scotty".  Below are some comments from the school:

Thank you so much for coordinating the visit to Stinson School with the Canadian Peregrine Foundation.  All the grade levels fortunate enough to have attended the presentations by Kelly were more than interested and attentive.  This was a wonderful opportunity to learn about the falcon, which graced our own city last year with the birth of new falcons.  Scotty was terrific too!

Kelly was an excellent representative, thorough in her explanation, patient and taught the children in a manner easy for them to understand the concepts and information.

The presentation fit the curriculum very well as habitat, food chains, endangered species and flora and fauna were a major focus of Kelly's presentation.

We would certainly recommend your Foundation's efforts to share this learning opportunity with other schools, and we are most pleased that the Canada Trust Friends of the Environment Foundation helped to sponsor your visit to Stinson.

Once again, thank you for a most informative, educational presentation.

Sincerely,

Stinson Street School Staff
