Project School Visit:
Thornhill Public School (Thornhill)

Visit sponsored by:  TD Friends of the Environment Foundation

In October 2001 we visited Thornhill Public School with our young female peregrine falcon "Penny".  Below is a letter from the school:

On behalf of the students and staff involved at Thornhill Public School, I wish to extend our appreciation for the wonderful presentation in October on endangered species and the peregrine falcon.  The presenter was a wonderful source of information that was well targeted towards the grade 4 and 6 curriculums.  Our students found the information quite fascinating and especially enjoyed having a live falcon visit us.

We also wish to thank your sponsor TD Friends of the Environment Foundation for their generous contribution of funds for the teacher resources you provided to us.  These books will be a continuing source of information for our classes on this important topic.

Thank you again for your time and generosity.  We hope that you will visit us once again in the coming academic year so that other students may benefit from this worthwhile experience.

Sincerely yours,

Toba Balabati
