July 2005 -- One of four juveniles from a nest of Cooper's hawks in a Manotick, Ontario backyard. The photographer saw the hawk eating in a small tree. When he approached it, it dropped the prey and flew off. The photographer placed the hawk's food in an area more ideal for a photo and the hawk came back to resume its meal.
