!!! Ambassador Bridge Nest Sightings

May 01, 2016 - Windsor - Ambassador Bridge

Marilyn Weller Reports:

I spent a couple hours at the bridge this morning with the spotting scope. One adult in the nest the entire time except for a very brief flight out to a girder and then the return within a couple minutes. Given the size, I believe it was Voltaire. Victor was perched on the steeple for the first half hour of my viewing but then flew off and didn’t return while I was there.

I did see a very small patch of white just above the top of the nest tray so I think we may have at least one hatchling now. Voltaire moved around a fair bit while attending to her nest. The heavy humidity and foggy conditions made the viewing challenging today.

Mark stopped by and joined me in watching for a while. He reported that he saw the white tuft a day or two ago using his binoculars.

We’ll report more as we have new sightings here.
