Banding day went very well. Many of the tenants, building management and security came out to see their new falcon family members.
Thanks to Kathy Smith a long time CPF volunteer who extracted the chicks and Sky Reach Window Washing who provided the lift up to the nest 2 chicks arrived in the lobby safe and sound. We have 1 male and 1 female this year and were a very healthy pair.
The female was 910 grams banded 82 over X and named Amanda with red tape on her silver band and the male was 695 grams and banded S over 49 and named Drago with blue tape on his silver band.
The adult female never left the nest ledge and Kathy had to give her a little push to move her out of the way to get the chicks and gave her the cold peregrine stare until her babies were returned.
